Some people just want to have a nice garden. Other people want their gardens to stand out. Paint Or Varnish Your Fence

A really easy way for to help your garden stand out is to paint or varnish your fence. Painting your fence in a vibrant or luxurious color can make a big difference. Just make sure that you add at least 2 coats of paint to the wood. Any fewer and it’s likely that your paintwork will be patchy. If you wish to varnish your fence, be sure to use the correct type of varnish. Use one that also complements the color of the wood.

Add Statues

Classy garden statues can really help your garden to stand out. You could have statues of your favorite animals or birds or some classic statues.

If statues aren’t your thing, you could always add a few bird tables here and there. Bird tables can be just as elegant and they can help your garden to look different from everyone else’s gardens.

Install Some Elegant Pathways

The right type of paving slabs and paving stones can add a touch of magic to your garden. When you choose slabs or stones that are a beautiful color they can make a huge difference. Be sure to install them where you and others like to walk. This will help to keep your lawn looking good.

Plant A Few Trees

Most trees can make a garden stand out from all of the others in your neighborhood. You can plant young trees should you wish to or full-grown trees. Just make sure you take care of them so they look healthy.

Grow Shrubs All Year

Some gardens look really good during the summer months. However, the rest of the year they can look quite bare. You can combat this by:

• Growing a range of shrubs throughout the year
• Ensuring that you have low-lying shrubs and tall shrubs
• Additionally, you could have plants growing in between so there are no gaps

When your garden is full of beautiful plants and flowers all year it can stand out even more!

Install Some Decking

The right size decking in your garden can make the area look spectacular. You could install as much or as little decking as you wish. Opt for a color or colors that complement the color of your house and/or your fence. When you do, your decking could look even better.

With a bit of work, you help your garden stand out. No matter what the weather’s doing or what your neighbor’s gardens look like, yours could potentially be the best.
