***Thanks to zulily for sponsoring this post so I could tell you all about how you can give the gift of reading through their cool Books for Kids campaign!***
Hey hey! Anyone else like to read?? You know how obsessed I am, and it thrills me to see what dedicated readers my kiddos are turning into as–more so every day! And I am too happy to keep them stocked with good reads. The school book fair, runs to the library, or supporting super-cool purchasing opportunities, like zulily’s boss Books for Kids campaign! To kick off the season of giving while also celebrating National Family Literacy Month in November, zulily, the online retailer obsessed with bringing special finds to its customers every day, is teaming up with Penguin Random House to help provide books to children in need across the U.S.
How does zulily’s Books for Kids campaign work?
Starting November 1, zulily kicked off special sales events featuring a curated selection of children’s books. Through December 12, each purchase of a Penguin Random House book labeled with the “BUY 1, GIVE 1” badge will also allow for the donation of a new children’s book. Up to 100,000 books will be donated from Penguin Random House to First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides new books and other essentials to children in need nationwide.
As Kyle Zimmer, president, CEO, and co-founder of First Book says, “Our educators share stories with us about families who have to choose between school supplies and food. The support of zulily, zulily’s customers, and Penguin Random House will bring beautiful new books to these families, children, and their dedicated teachers. Books bring joy and they open the door for academic success. Students who receive a new book are in awe that someone would reach out to them in such a tangible, powerful way. Your support means the world to us and it means the future to the children we serve.” Wow.
So friends, when you are shopping this holiday season, look for the “BUY 1, GIVE 1” badge on featured books in select events on zulily’s website/app. Go HERE for full campaign details, and you can also support this cool effort to help First Book through a social call-to-action with zulily on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
Happy giving, happy gifting, and happy reading!

This is awesome and going to go take a look as my girls are also big-time readers, who get it from their mom, as well 🙂
