As Easter approaches and Christmas has drained my wallet, I’m always on the hunt for inexpensive basket stuffers for Easter morning. In my family, no Easter basket (even my DIY Wooden Easter Bunny Basket!) is complete without a stuffed rabbit–and candy of course! Yet, stuffed animals in my home seem to have a day of spotlight and then slowly expire under my children’s beds into Stuffed Animal Graveyard. While the animals never return, my wallet remains naively lighter for their purchase. This year, I vowed to make something thrifty and adorable for my children to love on Easter morning. While sorting through yet another laundry basket with multiple missing socks, the idea for a sock bunny occurred to me, and here’s the effortless way to make your own 15 Minute DIY No Sew Sock Rabbit!
15 Minute DIY No Sew Sock Rabbit
What you need:
A spare mid-length sock (that should be easy to find right?)
Stuffing
Scissors
Thread/String
Optional:
Buttons
Ribbon
Needle and thread
First, stuff the sock slightly past the heel. If you are looking at it sideways, it will hold the shape of a rabbit.
Next, tie string right below the heel to form a body and face. If you have ribbon, tie a bow for added adorableness.
Cut the top of the sock in half to begin making ears.
Taper your cuts into points for ears.
Take thread and tie right below the ears to form the top of the head.
If you’re running short on time, your No Sew Sock Rabbit is complete! I happened to have some fantastic vintage buttons and couldn’t resist adding a nose.
Of course, after I added a nose I felt an eye was essential so I quickly stitched one on. You can also add an eye by using a button or fabric paint.
Your bunny is officially complete! It’s no secret moms are short on time, so take the swift 15 minutes to make this rabbit and add a special touch to any Easter basket. You will find a No Sew Sock Rabbit so quick and easy to make, you can make one for each child without breaking the bank or your precious time.
Hoppy Easter, friends!

This is adorable and my wallet can’t thank you enough for a less expensive way to indeed celebrate Easter as I am finally almost all paid off from Christmas here. So, the thought of spending a ton on yet another holiday was not what I wanted to do now!
