Happy almost-fall, friends! I know, part of you is still yearning for the sweetness of summer. The rest of you? Beyond gleeful that the kids are hopping on that school bus and taking their leave! Score!!
While you are wavering with some crazy mixed emotions over the end of summer, take a minute to consider all the fun that fall has to offer and and feel the joy. One fab season is over, but another very cool one is taking off! Fall has so much to offer, and one very cool place to delight in it is Tuckerton Seaport. This place is SUCH a hit with my kiddos–they are constantly asking to go back! There are lots of fun activities and things to see, and their favorite part was simply having a chance to explore the play areas while giving their imagination a workout.

Decoy & Gunning Show
Two-day event highlighting the culture of the Barnegat Bay region. Demonstrations, contests, seminars, crafters, carvers, vendors, food and music. Includes the Dock Dog competition as featured on ESPN! Visit the Tuckerton Seaport Heritage Tent at the lake. Two great locations: Tip Seaman Park and Tuckerton Seaport. Classic & Antique Car & Truck Show
Drive on down to Tuckerton Seaport on Saturday, September 30 for the Annual Classic and Antique Car & Truck Show, hosted in conjunction with the Vintage Auto Museum of New Jersey…. Over 100 antique and classic cars and trucks will be on display, with judging and an awards ceremony rounding out the afternoon. Lighthouse Challenge 2017
Climb to the top of the Tucker’s Island Lighthouse as one stop during the Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey! Visit all of New Jersey’s historic lighthouses and related museums during this weekend of fun and exploration and help raise funds for the continued preservation, education and restoration of these historic structures. Haunted Seaport
Visit Tuckerton Seaport, if you dare, for a fright-astic adventure known in local lore as Haunted Seaport. Haunted Seaport will take place on Thursday, October 26, Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm each night. Pirates and Sea Captains long lost at sea will stroll the Seaport’s boardwalk for a night of screams. Meet and greet with the Jersey Devil while dancing to music sure to bring even zombies back life.

Grab your calendar and block out the dates out now–and remember when an event isn’t underway, there is always fun to be had at Tuckerton. My kids had so much fun exploring the museum and checking out the everyday offerings of The Seaport. Whatever the season or time of year, Tuckerton Seaport is a win!
