***Thank you to SingleCare for sponsoring this post so I could fill you in the smart healthcare savings!***
From the moment I became pregnant to having two small children at home; I have been spending a small fortune on doctor’s visits and prescriptions. My son starting preschool this past year and entering the school germ cycle had us visiting the doctor and/or the pharmacy monthly! Like many parents, I am always looking for a way to save some money on the repetitive costs.
Recently, I came across SingleCare and friends, I am hooked! SingleCare is as simple as using a card and in return receiving savings on prescriptions, dental, vision, and even on-demand virtual doctor visits!
SingleCare believes us busy moms should be able to compare costs for healthcare and not worry about networks, coverage limitations or deductibles–genius!
Who is SingleCare‘s smart healthcare savings for?
Anyone! SingleCare is not insurance but instead a way to make healthcare more affordable for those who pay out-of-pocket. This typically equates to lower costs comparable to what an insurance company would pay. While you can’t use SingleCare in conjunction with health insurance, you can use it for out of pocket costs; or for dental and vision visits for which you may not have insurance. That means us moms can have more money to spare for the other important things raising kids require!
How does SingleCare‘s smart healthcare savings work?
Through partnerships with networks of providers, Singlecare is is able to provide members with access to great doctors at great prices, with savings typically available only to insurance companies. The price you will see clearly and upfront, include a small administrative fee, which helps us keep the lights on and allows us to build more partnerships and offer greater savings. SingleCare only makes money when members save money.
How do you use SingleCare’s smart healthcare savings?
It’s as simple as signing up for free and using your card. Every time you use your card when filling a prescription, visiting a dentist, optometrist, or even have an online doctor visit, you will be saving your hard earned money. All you need to do is bring your SingleCare card to the pharmacy, show the pharmacist, and start saving. This process makes it so easy for us so-often flustered and forgetful moms–simply keep the card in your wallet so it is with you whenever you need it!
SingleCare membership is free and there are no ongoing fees or premiums. Members are only responsible for the cost of services they receive during provider visits. After your visit, your provider will charge the payment method on file in your SingleCare account, and you’ll see the price–and savings–for every service rendered. The SingleCare fee is included as part of the costs displayed on singlecare.com, which means there are no surprises when you receive your bill after your visit.
Where can I use SingleCare’s smart healthcare savings?
SingleCare is accepted nationwide at over 35,000 pharmacies, including Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Harris Teeter, Duane Reade, Longs Drugs and Fry’s. Using SingleCare, you can save up to 80% on 50,000 drugs! To use the benefit, simply bring your SingleCare card to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to process your prescription using the BIN and PCN number found on your card.
To find out the specific price of a medication or to check if your pharmacy accepts SingleCare, visit singlecare.com or via the SingleCare app, available for both Android and iOS, and search for your prescription.
What are the benefits of SingleCare’s smart healthcare savings?
SingleCare offers savings on prescriptions, dental, vision, and on-demand virtual doctor visits with all costs displayed clearly and upfront. There is nothing more annoying then receiving a service yet having no idea what it will cost you when it is all over. Before even stepping foot in the office, members of SingleCare can estimate the cost of the visit or prescription. The bonus? Membership for SingleCare is free and any cost charged is included in your estimate. This means when the bill comes, you won’t have a surprise fee added on at the end. One of my favorite features is that your bills can be paid by HSA, FSA, credit cards, and even PayPal.
SingleCare’s main goal is to help save money on the necessary medications so many of us need. Another fantastic feature is their on-demand doctor’s visits. Moms, that means no waiting rooms! Forget hauling the kids to the doctor and trying to entertain them for a half hour (or more!) while waiting, now you can speak to a doctor virtually and skip the waiting room hassle!
As we gear up for summer adventures, be sure to have a SingleCare card in your wallet. We all know our children can be walking accidents , so having peace of mind knowing we’ll receive a discount on any necessary medicines or office visits is gratifying. Let’s take this summer to win at saving money on health needs!
