This is it, friends. The time of cleaning up and grabbing onto our health is upon us, and we CAN do this! Really. I’m hard-core settling into some goal-pursuit of my own. If I’m successful, anticipate loads of blog posts about the magical way to shed zillions of pounds while raising two young children and being rendered house-bound by arctic Pennsylvanian January temps. Perhaps don’t hold your breath too much for these posts, then…
Setting aside lofty aspirations, this turn of the year is the perfect time to start eating better and getting a little smarter about what we put in our bodies. For this reason, I am loving Yoplait’s new “1-Up Your Cup” campaign and was delighted when they asked to me to help promote.
What’s this campaign all about? Easy-peasy simple deliciousness! Yoplait® has a ton of fresh yogurt options to ensure that you are staying happy and healthy—without ever sacrificing taste. Now, let’s take it up a level. While Yoplait® is amazing on its own, it’s even more amazing with a personal spin. To 1-Up Your Cup, start with one of Yoplait®’s yummy cups of yogurt and make an addition of your choice to create a fantastic treat, snack, or mini-meal.
With over 125 flavors plus your imagination, there are countless ways to 1-Up Your Cup. Need an after-school snack? Add some peanut butter to French Vanilla. Ready for a new healthy routine to kick off the New Year? Try some Coconut Water in Pina Colada. Want a late night dessert? Try Granola and cinnamon in Harvest Peach for a Peachy Keen Yogurt Crisp. The options are endless!
To kick off the new year, I made tracks over to Walmart and stocked up on Yoplait® so I could try a couple different 1-Up Your Cup ideas. With Walmart’s always super-low prices, this was the perfect place to meet both my financial and nutritional 2016 goals–win-win!
I always feel my best when protein is part of whatever I eat, be it meal, snack or treat. For this reason, I’m a huge fan of Greek yogurt, and crafted my first cup with a base of Yoplait® Black Cherry Greek 100 Calories yogurt. Even on the most stringent diet plan, it’s important to include some tempting sweets so you don’t feel deprived. By adding some dark chocolate chips (three cheers for the antioxidant bonus!) to this yogurt, the end result was a cup of yum. A super-fun bonus that makes this momma’s heart sing? Even my incredibly picky 4 yr. old daughter was swooning over this creation! Score!
For my second 1-Up Your Cup, I went straight for the chocolate. Chocolate in the form of Yoplait® Chocolate Whips yogurt. Since this product is low on the protein factor, I had to add it in, and in my book, no tastier way to do this than with peanut butter. Topping off my cup with a scoop of powdered peanut butter was a fantastic way sneak in a dose of protein, curb my chocolate craving and round out a delicious, healthy snack. *Digging in now!*
The 1-Up Your campaign is simple, fun goodness. Goodness that allows you to satisfy your cravings in healthy and creative ways while keeping your 2016 diet goals soaring strong. Sneak in the treats while meeting calories budgets, honoring protein needs, or committing to whatever your nutritional needs are. Yoplait®’s 1-Up Your Cup allows you to do just that–with ease and smarts.
So, my friends, may the delicious healthiness be yours! Walmart-it up, and school out the goods for your cups. What will your favorite way to 1-Up Your Cup be? However you roll it out, it’s going to be a sweet win for 2016!

Great post. My honey is always telling me I need to eat more yogurt. This gave me some good inspiration; truth be told I never really thought much about add-ins beyond granola so some fabulous ideas here. I am curious though, what is this powdered peanut butter you speak of??

It’s pretty awesome stuff–tastes like peanut butter and loaded with protein–but sans all the calories! I got mine at Walmart and I’ve seen it at grocery stores too. Check it out, Meredith, and get that yogurt on! 🙂
