If you have been hanging out with me for any length of time, you know that technology generally drives me into the corner, quaking in fear. Let’s just say the latest and greatest developments and I aren’t going to be besties any time soon.
So when Sweet Relish asked me to check out their site and add their button to my tool bar, my eyes just sort of glazed over and I immediately planned on abandoning hopes of catching up on Revolution that night (is anyone else digging these new episodes too?) No, my husband would be spending the kids-in-bed portion of our evening frustratedly snipping at me over patiently explaining to me how to click on the little “R” button and and drag it to where it needed to go.
Then I had a crazy thought. What if I would give this a try on my own? So, I did, and blow me away, I actually figured it out! It was so easy to add the button! Moreover, it was really fun to shop around online and click on products that I wanted to check out.
What is Sweet Relish? In my own, very non-technologically-smart words, it is a way to bookmark or save an item you find online into a list. Such as, “Gift Ideas for My Son’s Birthday”, “Things I Am Drooling Over”, “Handbags I Would Buy If I Had As Much Money As Jessica Alba”, etc…you get the idea. And when I say it’s not hard, it truly isn’t. If I easily use and enjoy using this site, anyone else can too.
I even created my own list, “Best Products for Moms of Young Ones”. I picked 10 of my favorite items that I am using in this stage of life and saved it–in under 10 minutes. So easy! I like Sweet Relish because it’s a cool way to catalog things I’m loving on and things I’m shopping for.
The newest items I’m adding to my favorites list are from BumBoosa. With my kids, I have tried the Baby Wipes and the Diaper Rash Ointment. Pretty sure I will sound insane when I say this, but for me, this felt like a way to inject a dose of spa-like relaxation into diaper-changing. Whenever I catch a whiff of these products, I feel like I have stepped foot into my zen-like local holistic foods store, something I get to do way too infrequently while caring for these little kiddos. The smell of the products is amazing, aroma-therapy-esque.
The quality of these products was also impressive. The wipes were strong without being too rough or harsh. The light cream-like texture of the ointment reminded me of L’Occitane hand lotion–no lie! It is not heavy or greasy at all, yet is somehow rich and pampering on my kiddos’ bums. I was very pleased with both the wipes and the ointment.
We don’t cloth diaper, so I have not tried their flushable diaper liners, nor have we tried the toilet paper, but I’m guessing both of these items are pretty great too, given how much the brand has wowed me so far.
In short, add Sweet Relish and BumBoosa to the list of this Mom of the Year’s obsessions. Hop on over to Sweet Relish and discover a fun new way to shop (just an easy click of the “R” icon, I promise!). Check out BumBoosa & more with Sweet Relish’s Discover button, and wish-list the day away, my friends.
