Looking for some great all-natural products for your little ones? You are in luck! Seventh Generation just created a complete line of USDA certified biobased baby personal care products, Wee Generation.
These non-toxic, biodegradable products are made with natural ingredients and are free of gluten, synthetic fragrances, phthalates and parabens (these ingredients, along with formaldehyde releasing preservatives, Triclosan, Tetrasodium and Trisodium EDTA, DEA and TEA are all things to avoid to protect the healthy development of your child).
The company has voluntarily chosen to incorporate the new “USDA Certified Biobased” seal on the full line of baby personal care products to show a concerted effort to reduce the use of non-renewable resources, like petroleum. To learn more about what this label means, see here. In short, the products are an impressive effort to reduce the strain on our environment and provide you and your family with products you can feel safe using.
As part of their introduction of this line, they sent me a full set of these products. My family has been happily testing them now for two weeks. Included in the line is baby sunscreen, diaper cream, baby lotion, baby shampoo and wash, foaming baby shampoo and wash, and baby bubble bath. Every single product has been a hit with our family. I especially love the thick (but not oily or greasy) texture of the diaper cream which works wonderfully with my children’s sensitive skin.
The baby shampoo and wash has also been great for my daughter. Her extremely sensitive skin has led us to purchase “sensitive” baby wash in the past, but even though this product is not marked as being specifically for sensitive skin, we’ve used it on her and had no problems. To me, this attests to the quality of ingredients in the product and lack of harsh additives.
It’s also been fun to use the foaming baby wash. In the past we have used foaming hand soap, but had yet to try body wash. The kids love the “bubbles”, and it’s easy to use. I think this line is wonderful and plan to purchase more of it after the products we received run out.
As part of the the introduction of this line, I was asked to participate in a briefing with Cara Bondi, Senior Research Chemist at Seventh Generation, and Tina Allen, founder of leading children’s health and nurturing touch organization LiddleKidz™ Foundation. These two ladies provided so much helpful info about how we can can for our babies and kids through the use of natural products. They also reinforced the value of baby massage, something I haven’t done since my son had colic, but am now thinking I should revisit. If you are interested in more specifics of baby massage, check out this video.
And the good news is you now have a chance to score your own set of these products. Enter the giveaway below to have one of two complete set mailed to your home!
