My Dad is Boss

I’m one of those lucky, lucky girls b/c I have the best dad in the world.  Not as in, “I love my father” (which I so obviously do), but as in “my dad is just a really, really cool guy”.  He’s boss, plain and simple.  My favorite characteristic trait of all time is integrity, and he just rocks this out through and through.  As in, he does a lot of really good things for a lot of people and never, ever breathes a word of it unless you specifically grill him about it.  As in, his mother and wife died within months of each other, and instead of holing up in life and riding out his grief, he flipped the tables on his world.  He quit his job (not retired, by any means, mind you), bought an SUV, sees his grandkids weekly or more often, and has his house looking way more amazing than it has in years. He loves God and is an amazing example, in both word and deed to me and my sister on a daily basis.  He has friends.  A lot of them, and he sees them often.  He walks–a lot because he just really enjoys it.  He stays up on the news, national politics and town gossip 🙂  Once in a while, he even surprises me with my favorite wine, which is very, very cool 😉   In short, he just lives life whole-heartedly and is basically the most amazing father for which we could hope.  Love you, Dad, and Happy Father’s Day.
