Our ambitious destination |
My family just went on a gorgeous spring-day walk. In only 40 minutes, we managed to make it down the entire driveway! I know, I know–we are amazing! After all the hats, shoes, and sunglasses were secured, we really made excellent progress on venturing from the house. The wagon was pulled out and my daughter was seated. Daughter then fell over, cried, needed comforted and was re-seated with support blankets pulled from the back of the van. Son, of course, felt the need to pick every dandelion from our yard, which was a minor hiccup in our forward progress. His shoes then obviously fell off b/c they were too big.

After a minor temper tantrum and trip back into the house to dig up more-appropriately-sized sneakers from his closet, we were really sailing along. We were at least halfway down the driveway at this point. After few more minor snotty-nose calls for kleenex and deciding that my daughter chewing on my son’s too-big sneakers didn’t really matter, we honestly were within touching-distance of our mailbox. Yes, hold your breath as this Mom of the Year starts to dramatically shed pounds with all of this athletic walking…
