I have officially reached that right of passage that many not-so-young-approaching-middle-age (ack!!) women hit when they realize, “Oh crap, I’ve got skin!” And, like, maybe I should do something about it? Not ever plagued by acne or pimples (but many, many other body deficiences, I assure you), my skin care routine up to this point consisted of washing my face with Noxema (yes, they still make it, purchasable in the “personal care items” aisle at Giant) twice a day…or once a day…or…yikes! I’m pitiful, I know. In any case, it’s not a good scene. At some recent point it occurred to me that oh, maybe there were other reasons to take care of my face? Like wrinkles, lines, dark circles under the eyes, age spots, puffiness…Apparently this list goes on and on, and I’m learning as I go. So I decided to finally whip out some DHC samples that had been sent to me and give them a go. And then…I fell in love, much to the chagrin of my husband. My skin actually looked…better. And felt better and um, this was working for me. So sure, armed with ebates, coupon codes, 10% off promos and free shipping, but now one more thing to roll into this Mom of the Year’s budget. This getting old thing is very tricky, tricky business. Okay to stretch the time between those diaper changes a little longer to fund Mommy’s new facial care routine?? Joking, joking! Settle down…;)
