Okay, we’ve got a problem. I read Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs and now, naturally, I want to become a knitter. The problem is that I have no idea how nor time to pursue this venture. But…I really want to do this. So I envision a lot of wasted hours online struggling to figure out the cheapest way to score yarn and identify the difference between a garter stitch and a cable stitch. If by some far shot this actually pans out, we could have some very rockin’ ugly scarves on our hands. I’m also pretty sure that I will make the entire family (dog included) sport these creations year round for the simple fact that I spent so much time producing them. So yes, I will be the psycho mom dragging her toddlers around the park in July in heavy worsted wool. And when they are older, I will so be there at their ball games clicking away on the sidelines. Poor kids–can’t have a normal mother who stays on-trend and does Hot Yoga in her spare time. A least we’ll have a bevy of lame gifts for their preschool teachers come the holidays…
