Straight-out tribute to the late, great Audrey Hepburn herself. This woman just had it going on. And when she was done having it going on, she had it going on a little more. She oozed class from every pore of her being–from her looks, her attire, her words, her general presence…I wanted to be cool and write this post on the anniversary of her death, but I missed it by a few weeks (it was Jan. 20, 1993 and she was only 63, BTW). In any case, this is a pure shoutout celebration of her life, her work, and her attitude. As leaving legacies go, I think she did pretty well for herself. I am not one to buy objects of whimsy nor does our budget allow for many extravagrances, but when I saw this sign our our recent CA trip, I just knew it was absolutely the way to go, a perfect present reminder for our kitchen. It’s funny, having a girl has reminded me of the importance of keeping “pink” in our lives and all that that encompasses. If I could pass even one Audrey’s truths onto my daughter in my lifetime, I would declare success.
Lysie, enjoying her first pink purse 🙂 |
