Don’t laugh. This is serious, serious business for the SAHM. Here is my dilemna: I am in love with the Bible study we attend on Thurs. mornings. I feel that my son is too young to attend preschool 3 days/week in addition to his nursery class at said Bible study. Ergo, pursuing the rare 2 day/week M/W preschool vs. the far-more-popular T/Th classes. As there are only two such options in our nearby vicinity, preschool sign-up day has taken on a tremendous importance. For this occasion, I will be arriving at my first choice preschool an hour before sign-ups start, my husband will be taking a half-day off to watch the kids (which he does not have the time for), and I will be sporting athletic clothing so I am physically primed to edge out fellow signer-uppers–do you think I should also wear knee/elbow pads and take along and carry defense tools (think: brass knuckles)?? I have no idea how this is going to go down. If it gets ugly, I may end up in the ICU and be incapable of making future posts for a time. So pray for me, dear readers, that I can psych out the competition and be first in line to get the desired slot on the Hopewell Christian Preschool sign-up list. Here’s the good news: after you’re in, you’re apparently “in”, so future sign-ups with my son and/or daughter will not be nearly as dramatic or traumatic, so you will not be subjected to any such further blog postings on this hot topic in the future…
