The first time this happened, my son was about 8 mo. old and I had put him down for the night. My husband had gone wild and fled the house for the night to run errands, or some such elaborate affair. I was snuggled up in bed, happily reading my latest library book away when I heard IT. IT being the alphabet song sung at an obnoxiously high-pitched decibel from our living room. WHAAA?? As it turns out, it was not some rogue burglar sneaking into our home who had an obsession with children’s educational songs, but rather the dog accidentally jostling the Laugh N’Learn Puppy on our floor. Seriously?!?! Is it not enough that I am entreated to these children’s anthems during my children’s waking hours?? Do I honestly have to listen to them after I have defeated all odds and gotten them not only into bed, but actually sleeping for the night? Am now looking into legal ways to sedate my dog at the exact moment that my children pass out so I never have to surprisedly endure Twinkle Twinkle Little Star again…will keep you posted…
