I was going to have all boys. I had all the stuff, the seasons lined up perfectly for the clothing sizes–this one was going to be in the bag. Then the ultrasound revealed God had a different plan…In general, I am a fan of anything that can help me plan and organize my life (b/c that’s working out so well for me…), but I’m especially glad we found out early on that it was girl b/c it took me several months to wrap my head around this one. Now that it’s wrapped, what has happened? I have fallen in love with two things I never thought I could possibly love: Minnie Mouse and bows. I have no idea where this is coming from b/c I’m not a super-girly girl and my husband and I have forbidden princesses and Barbie from ever entering our home (I’m sure this will be successful…). In any case, when a few weeks back I was meeting some friends at the mall and I got there early, what store did I make a beeline for in my precious few minutes? Yes, the Disney Store. I haven’t been there since middle school. And no, I haven’t crossed that very scary line into adult Disney wear, but I was LOVING my visit to the store…
And then the bows. This was significantly spurred on by meeting a very sweet fellow SAHM at story hour who–check this out–uses naptime to maintain her own business!! Ha! I am just thrilled if I can run a load of laundry! Jen crafts precious creative bows for our little sweethearts: http://www.peanutsaccessories.blogspot.com/ My adoration for her stuff has morphed into a general obsession with bows. The only problem–my daughter doesn’t yet have hair…
